Injured and Sad

So my enthusiasm and new found desire was thoroughly squashed in the first day of my new plan! I was all set, had everything ready to go . . . and went and injured myself. I sprained a couple of rotator cuff muscles, most likely the result of my lower trapiezius muscles being weak. There you go. It’s been three weeks now, two massages, icepacks, and many painful rubs later.

Unfortunately, the best thing for me to do is to do nothing. Which is extremely frustrating. But I only have two weeks until an olympic weightlifting certification and the week after that is my CrossFit Level 1 Cert. I would like to be as healthy as I can for both of the certs. So I’m pretty much doing a lot of nothing. Trying to ride my bike when the weather is good. Doing a lot of squats. I did 250 in a row. Ross Enammit says 500 bodyweight squats in a row is a good benchmark. Maybe I’ll try for 500 tomorrow.
